Deep Tissue Massage
Using slow movement and concentrated pressure, a deep tissue massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue while breaking down adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Deep tissue massage is particularly helpful for those with chronic neck, lower back, and shoulder tension and tightness. Deep tissue massage is also useful for treating injuries, because the deep pressure breaks down painful, restrictive adhesions. Not only is a deep tissue massage good for your body, but it also reduces the effects of stress. Whether you want to reduce stress or alleviate pain from an injury, a deep tissue massage is a great way to relax.

Hot Stone Massage
In a hot stone massage, the massage therapist uses heated stones to deliver concentrated pressure to muscles that are causing pain or discomfort. Pressure can be adapted to a level comfortable to the client, so the massage is not only beneficial to one’s health, but also relaxing. The heat from the stones increases blood flow to the area, relaxes muscles, and aids in mental relaxation. A hot stone massage is ideal for both deep tissue and classic massage, especially since the pressure of the massage can be so easily adapted to the client’s pressure preferences.

Neuromuscular Therapy
Neuromuscular therapy is a form of soft tissue manipulation that aims to treat underlying causes of chronic pain involving the muscular and nervous systems. This medically oriented form of massage addresses trigger points, circulation, nerve compression, postural issues, and biomechanical problems. In a Neuromuscular Massage, the massage therapist will alternate the levels of pressure applied to alleviate pain. Because Neuromuscular Massage focuses not only on the muscles, but also on ligaments, soft tissue, and the nervous system, the body becomes “tricked” into not feeling pain. In fact, The American Academy of Pain Management recognized Neuromuscular Massage as the most effective type of massage technique for treating soft tissue injury. Without the constant tissue pain, you’ll be able to relax.
